More Music, Comedy, and Jews Planned
Hadassah, Lorber Team Up Again for
"So…Jew Live in Vermont?!"
There's no shortage in Vermont of comedy, music, and Jews. For the second
year in a row, Hadassah will team up with comedian Jason P. Lorber to
produce, "So…Jew Live in Vermont?"
In the style of "The Tonight Show," the stage show will feature live
music, standup comedy, and interviews with plucky and prominent Jews
living in Vermont.
"I'm so happy I could plotz," said comedian and show producer Jason P.
Lorber, when asked how he felt about last year's production, which
featured Governor Madeleine Kunin dancing the latke dance around a table
along with a Jewish organic farmer, and artist. "When I spoke with
Hadassah, we agreed to do it again and continue celebrating Vermont's
diverse and colorful Jewish community."
Lorber will host "So…Jew Live in Vermont," and interview Vermont
Secretary of State Deborah Markowitz; CEO / venture socialist Paul
Millman of Chroma Technology Corp.; actress, producer, and
environmentalist Kathryn Blume; and filmmaker Jeff Farber. Also featured
will be music duo Gigi Weisman and Joni AvRutick.
The event benefits Hadassah, a Jewish women's organization. It begins at
5 p.m. on Sunday, March 29 at the new Main Street Landing Film House at
60 Lake Street, on the Burlington waterfront. Tickets will be available
for $25 cash at the door.
